Grace's Story
Grace once walked a path that felt certain. Seven years spent training in Architecture, building a future that was structured, purposeful, and seemingly aligned with everything she had prepared for — all while faithfully serving the Lord. At that time, the road ahead appeared clear, and her calling felt defined.
Then life shifted. She moved countries to begin a new chapter, and with that move came the quiet unravelling of what was familiar. Starting again was not easy. Certifications had to be earned, stability had to be rebuilt, and the weight of beginning from scratch settled heavily. Despite the three degrees she carried, she found herself in roles that did not reflect her years of preparation, and slowly, her sense of identity began to blur.
Rejection became familiar. Emails that began with “Unfortunately…” echoed the doubts already forming within her. Confidence faded, self-esteem weakened, and she learned to stay in the background, questioning whether she was enough. Yet even there — in the unseen, in the waiting — God was at work, shaping what she could not yet see.
Now, she stands in gratitude. She works in a field far from Architecture, one she never imagined would hold fulfilment, yet it does. The journey taught her flexibility, trust, and the courage to release rigid expectations. She is learning to find purpose not only in plans fulfilled, but in detours embraced.
Out of this season, something deeply personal was born. She started a blog called Quiet Thoughts with Grace, a space where she shares faith-filled reflections to encourage others navigating uncertainty, self-doubt, and unexpected detours. She is discovering the gifts God has placed within her and choosing to open herself up to new versions of who she can become.
Above all, Grace is choosing to find purpose in the present.
